On the Writer's Path

I'm slowly chipping away at The Magician. I've covered this in the past, but as a rule its my only real project other than the things I'm posting on this site. I do find it interesting, having had our first Writer's Group in years, that I thought to bring a years old novel that I've barely touched to be worked on rather than the short stories I've been supplying on Whimsy Wednesday. I think part of it is that I'm much more comfortable with the prose I'm posting here than that piece, which was completed for the now defunct Vicious Novel Writing Month.

The End of NaNoWriMo

The End of NaNoWriMo

This past month was National Novel Writing Month. I would've loved to post about it while it was going on, but, as you might have noticed, I rearranged the color scheme and played around a bit with the site while I was slacking off. Slacking might not be the right word - I did write 47,589 words in 30 days after all. However, I did have 9 days where I wrote less than a hundred words. Hell, five of those I wrote nothing. So I did have some slacking in there.

It's now December and it's become holiday hell once more.
